Ye’, an apology to Piglet, also for the state of Piglet but more to Piglet for letting her get that way.
Before:(@8:40am)
During:
First pressure washed, sprayed with degreaser (BH Surfex 1:20) to remove the traffic film, wheels sprayed with wheel cleaner (Valet Pro Bilberry) and agitated, all pressure washed off, wheels then sprayed with fallout remover (AutoSmart Red7), rinsed, foamed with Gtechniq Gwash car shampoo, washed, rinsed, sprayed with Gyeon Wetcoat and wiped in (pressure rinsing after each two panels done), patted dry with a diamond waffle weave microfibre towel, then wiped over with Gyeon Cure to seal the sealant.
After: (wipers are still up as the glass sealant (Angelwax H2GO) is still curing).
Tyres dressed with Gtechniq T1 tyre and trim.
Also washed the neighbours VW Eos.
(all the same as with Piglet).
Finish: (@12:15pm).
It was just the exterior and glass done. So will do the interior on another occasion.

I’m not a big VW fan at all, but I love Skoda’s design language....damn does that Superb look good in that shade of blue!

Thanks. I still always look back at her as I walk away.
In the summer she looks beautiful especially as wisps of clouds roll over causing the blue to really come to life.
The design language is changing though.
The current Octavia.
Almost identical to the car seen testing.
Yes the DRLs are on the bottom of both headlight units. Ugly.

I was too busy doing others when the weather was clear enough to be cleaning any cars.
El Uly shamed me yesterday into getting it done. Lol.

Can I move in next door if you just wash other people’s cars?

It’s a standing thing on the street that if you parked 20 metres either side of my front door your car will likely get washed and I will ask for your car keys to do the interior or at least do the door and boot shuts and clean the inside windows.
I find it really relaxing and rewarding.
But then again I only fully cleaned the rental car we had for three days.

Do you want to wash the 4runner?

Will you bring it to me or am I coming to you?
It’s easy enough to do. You just need a few things.

You sir have a gift. and a disorder.
I love it! We shall be the best of friends!
I have taken wet dirt and gravel roads at 120 plus four times in the last two weeks. My car looks like it’s from the Road Warrior. Simply lovely.

Going to repost it for the late crowd.
With the Gyeon Wetcoat and Cure it should be easy to shampoo snow foam and rinse over winter. I’m glad i just got on with it and put over cars to one side this week.

Dear Škoda,
2010 Mercedes called, they want their stupid W212 headlights back.
Thanks

It just looks awkward, especially with the DRLs.
Skoda have said it’s to do with the new Kodiaq coming in and being the new face of Skoda.
Existing.
Same as seen testing.
Kodiaq
The thing is, those lights under the headlights of the Kodiaq are foglights.
The Octavia will still have the low mounted foglights but have divided head lights.
I’ve been trying to find the spy shot pics from another forum and if I’ve enough time tomorrow I’ll try and dredge them out.

This is what my car looks like after about every snowstorm, light flurry, or mild precipitation event from November through April, because our highway departments LOVE SALT. They dump salt on my own road, which is used only by 5 houses and it’s FLAT. They dump it mid-snowstorm even when they know they will have to plow again, thus sending most of the material into the ditch on the next pass. On dry days the line at the local carwash can be extensive.

Man. In the U.K. road salt (grit) is used but sparingly over heavy winters as most authorities don’t like having too much on hand in case it doesn’t get used as it’s a lot of money for many to have just sitting in case of snow.
Essentially motorways, A-roads many B-roads and main roads get gritted while others fend for themselves or pay farmers to run up and down from time to time.
